"This is our annual International Aerospace Womens Association (IAWA) Swinburne Connect event.
We are delighted to welcome Professor Virginia Kilborn, Swinburne’s inaugural Chief Scientist and a leading radio astronomer, as our guest speaker. Her pioneering research explores galaxy evolution using next-generation radio telescopes.
The panel will feature a diverse range of voices shaping the future of aviation. We’re proud to welcome Beatrice Lorenzo, last year’s IAWA scholarship recipient and aviation student committed to challenging industry norms. She will be joined by Yun Maung, Lecturer and Undergraduate Course Director in Aviation, whose research focuses on financial risk in the air transport sector. We’re also pleased to welcome Hilde Murphy, a current Qantas Captain with over 20 years of experience, who lectures in Human Factors in Aviation at Swinburne.
