IAWA to Discuss Aviation Industry Innovation Drivers in San Diego at their 35th Annual Conference

Leesburg, VA –October 10, 2023-The International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA), a worldwide organization for women who hold leadership positions across the entire spectrum of the aviation and aerospace industry, is holding their 35th annual conference on October 11-13, 2023.

Leesburg, VA – October 10, 2023 - The International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA), a worldwide organization for women who hold leadership positions across the entire spectrum of the aviation and aerospace industry, is holding their 35th annual conference on October 11-13, 2023 at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa in San Diego, California.
This year's conference theme is Innovation Drivers: Changing the Game in Aerospace. It will explore how we manage and influence the direction of ever-emerging change in aviation and how we ensure women have pivotal leadership roles in the next evolution of industry transformation.
The Conference sessions include unique panels and chats with leading industry experts discussing topics such as mental health, corruption and crimes, air cargo innovation, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning, the future of fueling, and the space frontier. There will also be special workshops on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession, mapping your career leadership journey, and insurance and risk management.
In addition to the conference sessions, there will be multiple opportunities to build and extend professional networks with key industry contacts, including special receptions, workshops dedicated to providing career guidance, and learning about the new IAWA Airlines Committee. New members will have a special opportunity to chat with IAWA President, Kathy Guilfoyle. The IAWA Conference Gala Reception and Awards Gala Dinner will take place Thursday night on the Inspiration Hornblower Ship.
IAWA will be celebrating their 35th Anniversary and the Navy's 50th Anniversary of Women Flying on Thursday, October 12th with Chief of Naval Air Forces Rear Adm. George Wikoff, being introduced by Debra Santos, IAWA President-Elect, Boeing retiree. There will also be a reception that afternoon honoring IAWA Presidents and women in uniform aviation leaders along with tours on Wednesday and Friday of the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station and Naval Air Station North Island.
