Date: March 8, 2018 Location: Montréal, Canada Address: House of Regions, 500 Rue Saint-Jacques, Montréal, QC H2Y On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2018, the Regroupement Relève Aéro Montréal organizes an event with the aim of raising awareness among students and professionals about the importance of the role of women in the aerospace sector. In association with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, we aim to inspire and motivate young women to pursue their career aspirations in this field. International Women’s Day is a moment of call for change and celebration of women’s acts of courage and determination. On this occasion, the Regroupement Relève Aéro Montréal wishes to raise public awareness of current issues and the under-representation of women in the aerospace sector. The organization of this event will present the course of several speakers from different backgrounds (maintenance, engineering, steering, teaching diplomacy, entrepreneurship, politics, research…) in the form of a panel discussion and testimonials. We also wish to present the progress of several companies and international organizations in this field and thus to highlight the many career opportunities for women. It will be followed by a networking cocktail, closing the evening.
